Cuckold, in its original term meant being the offended husband of a disloyal wife. The word is derived from a bird called cuckoo. The cuckoo birds are known for laying their eggs in the nests of other birds. So, they took this inspiration to have this term be used for humans that instead of laying eggs, it is the wife who lays with another man. _Today the word is mostly used as a descripton of a man who is letting hes wife have sex with other men.

History

The word cuckold is centuries old. It first appeared in a piece called “The Merry Wives of Windsor. During the 1950s, after the Civil war, when racial discrimination was so evident, black men were accused of the rape of white women. The sexual relationships between black men and white women earned disapproval because these relationships threatened the white men’s capability and power.

The black male body has also been desired after the triumph of the 1915 silent film, The Birth of a Nation. Since then, the black male body has been described as overly sexualized because black men have excessively large penises. That’s why Cuckolding plays into this black male dominance and superiority role more so than any other popular fetish.

Modern Meaning of Cuckold

A cuckold is a man or husband who has a sexually unfaithful wife. He gives consent to his wife to have a sexual relationship with other men.

Cuckolding is basically attached to the kink fetish or BDSM lifestyle, wherein it also correlates with domination, humiliation, masochism, and submission. But unlike in BDSM, cuckolding does not use sex gears or violence.

In cuckolding, the cuckold encourages his wife to have sex with other men for his pleasure. Most of the cuckolds have this fetish called jealousy fetish wherein they get sexual gratification from the jealousy they feel whenever they watch their wife having sex with another person.

The husband sees it as a competition. After watching his wife having sex with the other man, he will now have the strong urge to out-perform the other man. For him to feel validated at the same time, he will do his best to perform well in bed and prove to his wife that he is better.

Sometimes cuckolding is not just about the cuckold watching his wife having sex. It can be in all forms. Others have this open conversation wherein the wife shares every detail of her sexual encounter with another man with her husband.  

There is also another fetish that is being fulfilled whenever cuckolding takes place. It is the masochistic fetish. It is when the husband is forced to watch his wife having sex with another man. He actually takes pleasure from the humiliation he is getting from that scene and eventually redeem himself.

Cuckolds tend to submit themselves to someone to take over their place in bed. They find sexual desire when they give power to the other man to satisfy their wives.

Compersion

Compersion is the opposite of jealousy. In some cases, instead of being jealous, he feels happy when he watched his wife happy. It is true to some husbands that are not capable of satisfying their wives. So, they allow their wives to have sex with another man because they know to themselves that they are sexually incapable of making their wives satisfied.

Pride and Ego

Pride and ego take place when the cuckold sees the other man compliment his wife. And of course, as a husband, he will take pride in what he has, and that is having a sexy wife.

Domination

The wife of the cuckold that is also known as a hotwife gets the domination aspect of this kind of lifestyle. She gets to have sex with others or with multiple partners while her husband remains loyal to her.

Is Cuckolding a Racial Discrimination?

In the early days, as stated in history, “the other man” of the white wife must be a black male, and his husband, who is the cuckold, is a white male.

But nowadays, as being the sex craze, it does not matter if the cuckold is white or black. The same goes for the other man. The persons involved are more likely to satisfy their own fetishes. But sometimes, there is also a specific preference involved. Like, the wife wants to have sex with a black male, or the husband wants to see her wife having sex with someone whiter than him. In modern times, people became more open to options and diversity.

Being a cuckold requires deep devotion and understanding of the desires of his wife. Because cuckolding plays on the insecurities of the person can make an unfavorable impact on the relationship. So, before entering this kind of arrangement, the couple must assess every aspect of their individuality and their relationship’s strengths and weaknesses.
